The GreenFields Briquetting Process
GreenFields Coal Company provides a state-of-the-art process to remediate coal mine waste sites by recycling coal waste into products for use in the energy, steel and cement industries. The GreenFields process produces a low moisture (under 1%) coal product as well as high quality coal/bio-mass briquettes. GreenFields produces the only
economically and ecologically viable briquettes that retain the same petrographic properties as deep mine coal. In addition, the GreenFields briquetting process produces a solid, weather and handling resistant briquette with substantially lower moisture content, lower ash and higher BTU properties than any other commercially available product.

The GreenFields DHS System
GreenFields also provides the DHS (Differential Hardness Separation) system, a revolutionary coal processing plant that can reduce moisture to a level below 1%. The DHS plant is a Dry System (Waterless), is Emission Free , Chemical Free and produces virtually No Waste. In addition, the plant is extremely efficient with very low operating costs. The plant is ideal for the cement and concrete production industries,among others, who seek the resulting dry, fine raw materials as value- added components.

Tested and Confirmed
Independent laboratories, including a leading American university, confirmed the effectiveness of the GreenFields technology. In these independent parametric tests, the laboratories analyzed the effect of the GreenFields technology on coal fines samples from three different U.S. coal regions. The laboratories determined that the samples contained between 18% to 30% moisture before the application of the GreenFields technology. After employing the GreenFields technology, the samples were tested again by the same laboratories. The tests confirmed that the resulting moisture content of the GreenFields briquettes was consistently reduced from the 18% - 30% range to 5% moisture or less, substantially increasing the BTU value. The tests also confirmed the handling durability and weather resistant properties of the GreenFields briquettes, as well as their validity and viability as an ecological and economical substitute for deep mine and other run of mine coal.
